Mobilism: Finding Books

When using Mobilism you have a few options to find books.

You start on the Main Index page of the site, which looks like this:
SCROLL DOWN ON MOBILISM PAGE!
Click link below to continue reading post...

This site also has links for apps for your phone and stuff, but I don't know deal with that. That requires way too much work, and too many things can go wrong with your phone so it's best to avoid it.

ANYWAY, scroll down the page and go to the section title "Device Independent" and click the link for eBooks. I would suggest bookmarking this page.

Click on the link eBooks

Now it is time to search or browse for books!

Here you have two options.
Option 1: Browse all eBook releases. These books are sorted in the order they are posted. There is no method to the madness, and you'll find that people REALLY like to post romance novels often. It makes your search a little more difficult. Regardless of that, here is a picture of what the eBook Releases forum looks like.

The posts that are "locked" are just general information about the forum and boring stuff you most likely won't care about. The posts that say (.ePUB) or (.MOBI) are the big winners. Note that there are 1804 pages of eBooks to search through, so this could keep you occupied for quite a while.

Option 2: Browse eBook releases by CATEGORY. This narrows down your selection by quite a bit.
Select whichever genre you are interested in. For my demo purposes I selected FICTION.

After you make your genre selection, it asks you to further narrow down your selection.

Here you have all your classic fiction novels listed. Only 305 pages of books.

Now, if you do not feel like browsing and just want to do a quick search you can do that as well, which brings me to your next option.

Option 3: Searching for title or author.

When on the mobilism site, you will see a search bar at the top of every page.
Type either an author or title into the search bar. You can type both, but will sometimes narrow down your search too far eliminating the book you were looking for.

For demonstration purposes I searched for Demille, in reference to author Nelson Demille.

You'll notice that mobilism found 30 posts with the name Demille.

Now that you know how to search and find books on the site, the next lesson is actually downloading the books! I'll cover this in the next post!
