Mobilism: Downloading eBooks!

Now that you know how to search and find books on Mobilism, it is time to start downloading your selections.

Just a warning this part can get a little confusing. The way Mobilism works is, users share their ebook files through use of different host storage type sites. So mobilism isn't actually providing you with the books, just a bank of where to find the books. Kind of confusing. Because of this, the location of books varies and every book may have a different download process.

Here is an example of downloading The Economist after clicking the link from the eBook release list.

There will usually be a little excerpt about the book and the book cover.

In order to download click the link UNDER Download Instructions.
DO NOT CLICK THE GREEN LINKS. These are usually ads, and could potentially harm your computer or put spyware. I'm not really sure, but I'll throw the warning out there anyway.

See how the downloads link directs you to a site "novafile" that is where the host/storage site I was talking about earlier comes in to play.

A new page will now pop open in a new tab. If a page does not open, make sure your pop up blocker is turned off or allow this specific page.

This can get tricky. Websites hosting files usually have a million links saying download. The trick is finding which one actually downloads your file. Here anything boxed in black and crossed out in yellow you want to avoid!!

Scroll further down the page.

In this case you want to click the "Regular Download" button.

This box appears on the page asking you to wait a certain number of seconds. DO NOT click the instant download button.

Now type in whatever it is asking you. Sometimes they are difficult to read. If you get it wrong, you'll just type it again.

NOW you click "Create Download Link"

YOU'RE ALMOST THERE I PROMISE.

Click Download File!!

You have now downloaded an issue of The Economist! Depending on your computer, the file should be located in your downloads folder.

Next lesson is on getting the file to your reader device!

I will most likely post a few more of these tutorials using different host sites so you know which links to press and which to avoid!

Good luck downloading!
